About the Government assignment
In July 2017, the Government decided on the action plan called Defending free speech. The Swedish Crime Victim Authority then received the Government’s assignment to prepare educational and information materials about threats and hatred against participants in the democratic discourse. The material is meant to serve as support for individuals who have been subjected to threats and hate in the social debate, especially online and in social media.
